About the Media Creation Room

This public space provides equipment for accessing a variety of multimedia formats. Most of the equipment offers the capability of transferring content from an older format, e.g., VHS or LP, to a CD or DVD. All patrons can use this equipment while the library is open. If you need assistance with the equipment, ask for help at the Circulation Desk 580-774-3730.

The Media Creation Room equipment has been temporarily relocated next to the microfilm digitizer along the west wall.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of copies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. 

The person using the Media Creation Room's equipment is liable for any copyright infringement.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a person makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This Library reserves the right to refuse to make any copy if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the request would involve violation of copyright law.
