The air conditioning in the Al Harris Library is working again. A big thank you to Physical Plant Director Michael Kluver and his team for their work restoring the library's A/C!
The library will be open this week on Wed.-Fri. from 7:30am-5:00pm. Fall hours begin on Mon., Aug. 19.

The air conditioning in the Al Harris Library broke down on July 10th. Replacement parts have arrived and repairs have begun. We anticipate that the A/C will be working again by Aug. 16th.
The library is open Monday-Friday from 7:30am-noon. The library is currently very warm. If you visit, be prepared for temperatures in the 90s or higher. This includes the 2nd floor study rooms, the book and periodical stacks, the PC area, the basement, and most offices. The Stafford Archives are closed.
If the heat in the building becomes intolerable and we must close before noon, we'll post an alert on the library's website and Facebook page.
The library's online databases are available as always at library.swosu.edu.
Temporary air conditioning for library employees has been set up in the center office and the Stafford Archives workroom.
If you need to meet with a library employee, please email or call first. Employees may be working remotely or may have relocated to the areas with temporary air conditioning.
