Free Image Hosting

Google Photos

Google Photos is an image sharing and storage service. This service offers up to 15 GB of free storage and access from any device. Additionally, users can create albums, collages, animations, and other creative arrangements.


Flickr

Flickr is an image sharing and storage service but with limited storage capacity. The maximum storage space for free accounts is 1,000 images. Flickr Pro accounts are not free but those accounts provide unlimited storage capacity.

Image Editors (Freeware)

PhotoScape

This free software provides an editor tool that includes a batch editor tool (i.e., editing multiple images at once), GIF animation creator, screen capture tool, color picker, and RAW converter. Available for the following OS: Microsoft Windows, Mac, and Linux.

This open-source image editor includes a color picker, brush/clone tools, layers/masking, and other tools commonly found in Adobe Photoshop. Available for the following OS: Microsoft Windows, Mac, and Linux.

This free software provides an editor tool includes a very basic version of a color picker, brush, layers and effect tools. This freeware is commonly used on library laptops and computer workstations. Available for the following OS: Microsoft Windows.
