Test Preparation Resources/Study Guides: Home

Find materials to aid you with test preparation for a variety of standardized tests.

How do I find the resources I need?

The tabs at the top of this page identify a number of standardized tests. Open the various tabs to find the resources that are available to you through the library.  You will be able to link directly from the page to the catalog, the database, or the website where a study guide or practice test is located. These listings include books that are available for check out, books that can be accessed electronically, books and materials that are located in the Reserve area of the library, and study guides and practice tests that are available through databases and websites.

Using Learning Express Library for Test Preparation

To get started with resources to help you prepare for standardized tests use the database LearningExpress Library. It offers skill-building interactive courses in math and English, software (including MS Office and Photoshop), as well as hundreds of online interactive practice tests for several types of exams (including the GRE, MCAT, PCAT, and others), civil service positions, and U.S. citizenship.

Another Database with courses to help you to prepare for national standardized tests is Khan Academy.  While Khan Academy is primarily known for providing videos about mathematics, over the years it has expanded to include videos on study skills, standardized tests preparation, and more.
