The Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street, in cooperation with Oklahoma Humanities, presents “Voices and Votes: Democracy in in America.” The exhibition examines the nearly 250-year-old American experiment of a government “of, by and for the people,” and how each generation since continues to question how to form a more perfect union.” Opening at the Al Harris Library, on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University “Voices and Votes” will be on view and open to the public through October 26th, 2024 - December 7th, 2024.
The exhibition features a dynamic and engaging six panel display with a variety of multimedia elements, such as historical and contemporary photos, educational and archival videos, and engaging interactive displays with short games and additional footage, photos, and information.
