Infographics

Infographics, (information + graphics), use visuals and text to highlight information, data, or knowledge.  They are intended to present information quickly and clearly, showing concepts or patterns in data or information.

Infographics have many uses in a variety of industries. They can be used to explain difficult data in an easy graphic format and are great tools for sharing stories. Visual graphical data assists readers to comprehend data faster and more accurately. Infographics can also be utilized to display differences or comparisons in information, time, location, as well as statistics, hierarchies and maps.

There are actually nine major infographic categories, but I am only covering the five I feel are most popular. The nine categories are:
